# Daytona DPE

> Daytona DPE is an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner offering virtual administrative

## Key facts

- Flat fee: $200 per service. No travel, rescheduling, unqualified, or cancellation fees.

These two actions are NOT eligible for virtual processing under FAA guidance, but Daytona DPE offers them IN PERSON. The customer must appear face-to-face; virtual appointments are not permitted for either.

- [Foreign Pilot License Verification & FAA Certificate (14 CFR 61.75)](https://daytonadpe.com/foreign-pilot-verification/): U.S. certificate issued on the basis of a valid ICAO foreign license. Requires an FAA Verification of Authenticity letter (AC Form 8060-71, filed through IACRA; ~45–90 days) FIRST, then an in-person DPE appointment. Virtual appointments not permitted.
- [SIC Type Rating — "SIC Privileges Only" (14 CFR 61.55)](https://daytonadpe.com/sic-type-rating/): Second-in-command type rating for ICAO international operations. No practical test, but the applicant must appear in person before an examiner with logbook/training records and a completed, signed 8710-1. 61.55(d) familiarization and flight training completed with a provider first.

- SIC type ratings under 14 CFR 61.55 — Daytona DPE offers this IN PERSON: https://daytonadpe.com/sic-type-rating/
- Any practical test with a flight component
- CFI reinstatement after the 3-month FIRC grace window has closed (practical test required)

## Authority and oversight

Daytona DPE operates under 14 CFR Part 183 designee authority. Each appointment is logged in the FAA Designee Management System (DMS) at least 24 hours in advance. The DPE is listed on https://designee.faa.gov with current authorization status.
